Why do I have trouble remembering what I read and understanding details in school?

I have great amount of trouble remembering what I read. Even if I read something I like I can't remember what happened AT ALL. I don't have learning disability, but I have asperger's. I have such an abstract thinking process that it is hard for me to break down information, which is why I have trouble understanding information in school. I only understand the main points. I can read technical books and understand everything, but I can't remember anything in a book even if I read aloud, or focus, or relax. i have trouble with comprehension a lot to and I have all A's in school. I know someone that has dyslexia and he has trouble with that to exactly, but once again I don't have a learning disability. I have asperger's so it may have something to do with that. What do you think it is? How can I get help? Nothing works at all.
