Math 90 square root problem... i got the answer as 4 and then a 2 under a square root, but i need to simplify?

i need to simplify 4_/2 meaning its a 4 then there is a 2 next to it but the 2 is under the square root symbol... i have to give an approximation to the neared thousand decimal..or integer..plz help ho??
