How should I organize my room?

I live in a 2 bedroom townhome with my roommate, so we have to agree on all of the decorations, except for when it comes to my room. My room is average, so I can't do anything extravagant. Basically, I just want a way to showcase my shoes (I have dozens of gorgeous 6" heels that should not be hidden away in my closet) and somewhere to put my makeup/hair products so they can be organized since I get ready in my room. My closet has sliding doors (the floor to ceiling mirror kind). Any advice?
