How do you plan your Baby's 1st Birthday Party?

Something simple is all that is needed; however, what would I do if my fiancee wants to be extravagant, yet we don't have the money..any suggestions on how to get her to reason with me? Sorry that this is a question within someone else's post. I figured this may be relevant to some others that might look at this post also.
